There is no single price for a lift. Two lifts with the same capacity can cost very different amounts. These are the factors that move the price most.
Type of lift
Traction, hydraulic, machine-room-less, capsule and goods lifts are built differently and cost differently. The right type depends on the building and use, not on price alone.
Capacity and speed
More persons and higher speed need a stronger machine and controller. Choose the capacity your traffic actually needs, and no more.
Number of floors and travel
Every extra stop adds a door, an interlock and rail length. Long travel adds rope and rail cost.
Door type and cabin finish
Automatic doors cost more than manual. Glass, mirror-etched steel and custom interiors cost more than standard panels.
The building itself
A new building with a designed shaft is simpler than a retrofit. Civil works, structural changes and access on site all affect the final figure.
How to compare quotes
- Confirm each quote covers the same capacity, speed, stops and door type.
- Check what is included: civil works, electrical connection, testing, first-year service.
- Ask about the maintenance terms after the warranty ends.
- Ask who supplies spare parts and how quickly.
The most useful step is a site survey. Ask for one before you compare prices.
